if an error occurred then add the deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian jessie main line in /etc/apt/sources.list. 

To run macchanger in GUI mode use the command: $sudo apt-get install macchanger-gtk macchanger-gtk. 

To open macchanger use the command: $sudo macchanger-gtk
