EMPLOYEE PAYROLL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Introduction

Employee Payroll Management system is an application that enables users to create and store Employee Records. The application also provides facilities of a payroll system that enables the user to generate Payslips. This application is helpful to the department of the organization which maintains data of employees related to an organization.

It is simple to understand and can be used by anyone who is not even familiar with a simple employee system. It is user-friendly and just asks the user to follow step-by-step operations by giving him a few options. It is fast and can perform many operations of a company.

The entire, employee Payroll Management System Project in the Visual Basic system is menu-driven and highly interactive. The system provides maximum flexibility to the user. All validity checks are taken care of by the system during data entry. The timely and well-designed reports helped the management to make critical decisions in time. The actual user of the system is very much pleased with its efficient performance.

Since the requirements may increase in the future, the system can be easily modified accordingly, as the system has been modularized. Future expansion can be done concisely to improve the efficiency of the system.

 Objective:

1) The  “Employee and Payroll management System’s “objective is to provide a system that manages the employee details,  the Payroll activity is done in a  company depending upon the employee's attendance and its calculation which is very huge.

2) The users will consume less amount of time through a computerized system rather than working manually.

3) The system will take care of all the payroll activities like managing each employee’s attendance, the number of leaves taken by that particular employee and calculation in a very quick manner.

4). Data storing is easier.  Paperwork will be reduced and the company staffs spend more time monitoring the progress.  The system is user-friendly and easy to use.

Analysis:-

The need for the system comes from the nature of the organization. To justify and appreciate the need for the system, we have to study the existing system. By conducting the system study, we can find out what are the goals specified, whether all the objectives are satisfied, what are the disadvantages of the existing system, etc. Here the existing system is maintained manually. So to computerize this, we must bind the system by identifying the scope of the function and performance that are desired

The disadvantage of the existing system is

· File maintenance is extremely difficult as everything is done manually.

·  Information retrieval is difficult and time-consuming.

·  Quick analysis of delivery is not possible.

·  Not enough security and privacy.

·  Requires much human effort.

·  Information need not be accurate.

DFD:

DFD provides a logical method of the system and shows the flow of data and the flow of logic involved.

Scope of future application:

This system is very flexible so that the maintenance and further amendments based on the changing environment and requirements can be made easily. Any changes that may lead to system failures are prevented with security measures. The project will support a multi-user environment, which is more than one user can access simultaneously.

It can be further developed to include more operations and analysis, as changes are required in the system to adapt to the external developments. Further enhancements can be made to the system at any later point in time.

Coding procedures can be modified according to the needs of the user. The system code is also well designed that it will form the basis for further enhancement and also new operations can be included in the system. The reports can be represented in all necessary protection. Added options can be designed in reports.
